Everything it does, in plain English
No dashboards full of charts nobody opens. Four things that matter to a venue, and the detail underneath each one.
The page your guests see
It should look like your venue, not like a piece of software with your logo dropped in the corner.
Your logo, colours and a photo
Upload them once and the page updates immediately.
Your own web address
Your venue name followed by margovy.com. The address is printed on your QR codes and never changes.
Choose what you ask for
Email alone is the quickest for a guest to fill in. You can also request a first name or mobile number if you have a use for them.
Opens automatically
The guest joins the Wi-Fi and your page appears. There is no password to hand out and no need to ask a member of staff.

Wi-Fi is not conditional on consent

The customer list
The point of the whole exercise. People who have already been in, with permission to talk to them again.
Every sign-up, in one place
Name, email address, mobile number, first visit and most recent visit. The list can be searched, sorted and exported in full.
Returning and first-time guests
The box recognises a device that has connected before, so returning customers are recorded without anyone completing a form twice.
The list belongs to you
Export it as a spreadsheet at any time, on either plan. We do not sell your list, share it between venues, or market to your customers ourselves.
Consent recorded properly
We store exactly what each person agreed to, in the wording they were shown, with the date and time. If you are ever asked, you can evidence it.
Bringing them back
A list nobody messages is just a spreadsheet. These run on their own once you set them.
Next-day thank you
A short thank-you message the following day, rather than moments after they connect while they are still in the venue.
Review invitations
Sent after the guest has left, to everyone who opted in. We never separate satisfied and dissatisfied customers into different routes, which Google prohibits.
Offers to a chosen group
For example, everyone who has not visited for a month. Select the group, write the message and schedule it.
Unsubscribe on everything
One tap, applied immediately. It also stops any message already queued, not just future sends.
Compliance and safety
Unglamorous, and the reason this is safe to run in your venue.
Wi-Fi is never withheld
A guest gets online whether they opt in to marketing or not. Making the connection conditional on consent is not permitted under UK rules, and we do not do it.
Your tills stay separate
Card machines and back-office equipment stay on your original network. Guests never share a network with your payment terminal.
An off switch that cannot fail
Turning Margovy off stops your page appearing and changes nothing on your router. There is no condition in which it can leave you without internet.
Contact details are protected
Device identifiers are hashed before storage and the original is never retained. Guest email addresses are never shared between venues.
