How the consent boxes work
Separate, never pre-ticked, and never required to get online.
Email and text consent are asked separately, because bundling them together is not valid consent under UK rules.
Neither box is ever pre-ticked. Consent has to be an active choice, and a pre-ticked box is not one.
A guest who ticks nothing still gets the Wi-Fi. Making internet access conditional on agreeing to marketing breaks PECR, and it is also just a poor way to treat a customer. This is not configurable.
We store the exact wording each person was shown, along with the date and time. If anyone ever queries whether they agreed, you can show precisely what they saw.
